Our client is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their highways team on a major infrastructure project based in Sunderland. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting site operations, setting out, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting out for highways works including earthworks, drainage, kerbs, pavements, and structures
  • Ensuring quality control and compliance with project specifications and design drawings
  • Managing site documentation, including permits, ITPs, and as-built records
  • Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and design teams
  • Supporting HSEQ standards and promoting best practices on site

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highways or major civil engineering projects
  • Proficient in using Total Station, GPS, and AutoCAD
  • Relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree)
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
