Our client is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their highways team on a major infrastructure project based in Sunderland. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting site operations, setting out, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting out for highways works including earthworks, drainage, kerbs, pavements, and structures
- Ensuring quality control and compliance with project specifications and design drawings
- Managing site documentation, including permits, ITPs, and as-built records
- Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and design teams
- Supporting HSEQ standards and promoting best practices on site
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highways or major civil engineering projects
- Proficient in using Total Station, GPS, and AutoCAD
- Relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree)
- Valid CSCS card
- Strong communication and organisational skills
