We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to join a commercial construction project on a freelance basis. Projects may include fit-out, shell & core, office blocks, retail centres, or mixed-use developments. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all electrical activities on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise all electrical works on site, including electricians and subcontractors
  • Interpret and manage drawings, specifications, and electrical designs
  • Ensure installations comply with current regulations, standards, and project requirements
  • Carry out regular site inspections and quality control checks
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Manager, and other trade supervisors
  • Enforce health & safety procedures, ensuring RAMS, PPE, and safe systems of work are in place
  • Review and manage testing, inspection, and commissioning documentation
  • Monitor progress against programme, identify risks or delays, and escalate where necessary
  • Assist with snagging, defect resolution, and final handover documentation
  • Maintain accurate site records, including daily/weekly reports, timesheets, and material usage

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an Electrical Supervisor or Site Manager role
  • Proven experience delivering commercial or industrial electrical projects
  • Valid ECS Gold Card
  • SSSTS (or SMSTS preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical regulations and site management processes
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
