We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer for a short-term earthworks package based in Skipton. This is a 4-week contract opportunity with an immediate start available for the right candidate.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for setting out and overseeing day-to-day engineering duties on a live earthworks project, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately, and to programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out for earthworks operations
- QA and as-built records
- Volume calculations and surveying
- Liaising with site management and subcontractors
- Ensuring works comply with drawings and specifications
- Maintaining health & safety standards on site
Requirements
- Previous experience on earthworks or heavy civils projects
- Proficient with GPS and robotic total station equipment
- Strong understanding of cut/fill operations
- CSCS card essential
- SMSTS or SSSTS advantageous
- Ability to work independently and manage site engineering duties
