Job Title: Site Manager – Groundworks Location: Birmingham & Across the Midlands Contract Type: Freelance / Permanent Start Date: Immediate Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a busy and growing Groundworks Contractor with multiple live sites across Birmingham and the Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity for a capable and motivated Site Manager to take charge of groundworks packages on residential and commercial schemes, overseeing day-to-day site operations and ensuring high standards of safety, quality and productivity. IMMEDIATE START available for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities: * Managing all aspects of groundworks on site including earthworks, drainage, foundations, services & externals * Coordinating and managing site teams, sub-contractors and plant * Ensuring compliance with health & safety, quality, and environmental standards * Working closely with the Project Manager and commercial team * Ordering materials, scheduling deliveries and maintaining site records * Chairing site meetings and managing daily briefings / toolbox talks Requirements: * Proven experience as a Site Manager within the groundworks / civil engineering sector * Background in managing groundwork packages on housing, commercial or infrastructure projects * SMSTS (essential) * CSCS card * First Aid at Work * Excellent communication and leadership skills * Able to work across multiple sites in Birmingham and the wider Midlands area * UK driving licence (preferred) What We Offer: * Immediate start on long-term projects * Competitive day rate / salary + package * Ongoing work across the Midlands * Supportive management team and opportunities for progression * Potential for permanent position after initial contract Apply now with your up-to-date CV or contact us directly for more information.
