My client are a civil engineering contractor specialising in FRC works and structures. They are looking to onboard a site manager to help deliver a large scale infrastructure scheme in Bedfordshire. The scope of works you will be responsible for managing will include FRC works and reinforced concrete structures.

Site manager responsibilities:

  • Manage, direct and support project delivery team in all construction activities
  • Ensure successful and safe delivery of the project to the satisfaction of the Client & Stakeholders
  • Liaise with the Construction Manager & Project Manager to ensure they are fully aware of project progress and are notified of all specification and time risks ensuring that all additional work is identified
  • Responsible for onsite Sub-Contractor management including addressing any Subcontractor issues
  • Responsible for health and safety adherence for the site
  • Monitor and inspect the quality of work to ensure high standards of quality are achieved at all times
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the site team
  • Achieve successful completion in line with Company and Customer expectations
  • Identify potential issues which could affect successful project delivery and take necessary remedial action or escalate as appropriate
  • Fulfil responsibilities within the Project Management System
  • Manage building control inspections
  • Liaise with members of the public and other interested parties
  • Manage the delivery of required materials & supplies
  • Ensure Site welfare is maintained to a high standard at all times
  • Deliver Site Reports to the Project manager on time and in a professional manner
  • Secure necessary permits & licenses required for site operations
  • Manage drawings revisions effectively

Site manager requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • NVQ level 3 or above
  • CSCS card
  • SMSTS
  • TWS/TWC
  • First aid
  • Proven experience in a site managers role
  • Experience with reinforced concrete, FRC works
  • Full UK driving licence
