A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Site Agent to oversee delivery on a major civils package in the Leeds area. The role will involve managing site operations, supervising engineering staff, ensuring compliance, and driving programme performance on a fast-paced infrastructure scheme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day site operations, reporting to the Project Manager.
  • Manage site engineers, subcontractors, and supply chain.
  • Maintain programme, track progress, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure health, safety, environmental and quality standards are strictly adhered to.
  • Chair site meetings and liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders.
  • Review RAMS, permits and ensure compliance with CDM regulations.
  • Manage site documentation, reporting, and commercial awareness (variations, early warnings, etc.).
  • Support delivery of earthworks, drainage, structures, utilities, and highway works as required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Agent or Senior Site Engineer stepping up on civils projects.
  • Strong background in infrastructure, highways, drainage, structures or general civils.
  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid (minimum).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage teams, subcontractors, and multiple work fronts.
  • Competent with programming, quality assurance and site record-keeping.
  • UK Right to Work and eligibility to work Outside IR35 (CIS/LTD).
