Job Title: Senior Engineer / Sub Agent – Shafts & Tunneling Location: Aylesbury Rate: £380 – £420 per day (CIS/LTD) Contract Length: 12 Months Start Date: ASAP Job Type: Freelance / Contract Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Engineer/Sub Agent to join a major infrastructure project in Aylesbury, working on a complex shafts and tunneling package. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high-profile project, with work expected to run for a minimum of 12 months. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing engineering activities on site, ensuring technical compliance and quality standards are met. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee shaft sinking and tunneling operations * Coordinate subcontractors and manage site logistics * Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety, and environmental standards * Support the delivery team with daily reporting, permits, and documentation * Lead and mentor junior engineers Requirements: * Proven experience on tunneling or shafts projects (major infrastructure desirable) * Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent * Strong leadership and communication skills * CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid preferable * Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications Benefits: * Competi…
