We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our team on a large-scale housing groundworks project. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established contractor delivering high-quality residential infrastructure, including roads, drainage, and plot works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting out for foundations, drainage, roads, and external works
- Managing and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with project requirements and tolerances
- Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and clients
- Conducting site surveys and maintaining accurate records
- Supporting quality control and health & safety compliance on site
- Resolving technical issues as they arise
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer within groundworks or residential housing projects
- Strong knowledge of drainage, foundations, and infrastructure works
- Proficient in the use of surveying equipment (e.g. GPS, Total Station)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- CSCS card (essential)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
- Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or related field
- Experience with volume housing developers
- SMSTS or SSSTS certification
