RTL Group are seeking a site engineer to work with a leading civil engineering contractor delivering a major tunnelling and infrastructure project in Redcar. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a technically challenging scheme involving tunnelling, reinforced concrete structures, drainage, utilities and associated civil engineering works, with genuine opportunities for long-term career progression.
Responsibilities:
- Setting out and surveying for tunnelling and civil engineering works.
- Managing engineering control and site documentation.
- Producing and maintaining accurate as-built records.
- Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings and specifications.
- Liaising with Site Managers, Sub Agents and the design team.
- Managing QA documentation, ITPs and inspection records.
- Supporting the delivery of reinforced concrete, drainage and structural works.
- Coordinating subcontractors and resolving engineering queries.
- Monitoring quality standards and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Promoting the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering or tunnelling.
- Experience with setting out using Leica, Trimble or similar survey equipment.
- Strong knowledge of QA procedures and engineering documentation.
- Experience working on major infrastructure, utilities, highways, rail or tunnelling projects.
- HNC, HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- CSCS Card.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
