My client are a leading civil engineering contractor who operate heavily across the South-west of England within the water infrastructure sector. Due to an increase in their order book, they are looking to onboard a project manager with extensive experience within the water sector to oversee contracts across Devon.
Project manager requirements:
- Project Planning and Scheduling: Develops detailed project plans, timelines, and schedules to guide the execution and ensure timely completion.
- Budget Management: Prepares cost estimates, monitors expenditures, and ensures the project stays within financial constraints.
- Resource Allocation: Coordinates the use of labour, materials, and equipment efficiently to meet project demands.
- Stakeholder Communication: Acts as the main point of contact between clients, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Contract Management: Reviews and administers contracts, ensuring that all terms, conditions, and deliverables are met.
- Risk Management: Identifies potential project risks, develops mitigation strategies, and implements contingency plans.
- Quality Assurance and Control: Ensures that construction work complies with design specifications, codes, and standards through inspections and quality checks.
- Compliance and Permitting: Secures necessary permits and ensures that the project complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
