We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Engineer to join a major marine infrastructure project involving significant reinforced concrete and marine construction works.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of a high-profile infrastructure scheme.
The Role
As Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical engineering leadership across the project, ensuring construction activities are delivered safely, accurately and in accordance with the programme, drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
- Senior Engineer Responsibilities
- Providing technical engineering leadership across marine and reinforced concrete construction activities.
- Managing and coordinating engineering activities to ensure works are delivered in accordance with the programme.
- Reviewing construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Coordinating with the Site Management, Design and Construction teams to resolve technical issues and ensure successful delivery.
- Carrying out quality inspections and ensuring works comply with project requirements.
- Producing and maintaining QA documentation, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), inspection records and check sheets.
- Maintaining accurate site records, as-built information and engineering documentation.
- Supporting the management of subcontractors and ensuring engineering requirements are clearly communicated and achieved.
- Assisting with handover documentation, as-built records and project close-out.
- Working closely with the wider engineering and construction team to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
- Senior Engineer Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Senior Engineer or experienced Site Engineer on civil engineering, marine, structural or reinforced concrete projects.
- Strong technical understanding of reinforced concrete construction, including reinforcement, formwork, concrete pours and structural elements.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and construction information.
- Experience producing and maintaining QA documentation, ITPs and inspection records.
- Ability to lead and support Site Engineers and junior engineering staff.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Valid CSCS Card essential.
- SSSTS/SMSTS desirable.
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
