Role Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee works on a commercial retrofit project within a live environment. The role requires strong site leadership, coordination with trades, and strict adherence to safety and operational continuity.
Key Requirements
- SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) – essential
- Enhanced DBS check – required
- Proven experience supervising electrical works in live commercial settings (e.g. offices, retail, healthcare, etc.)
- Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and permit-to-work systems
- Ability to manage electricians, subcontractors, and coordinate with site management
- Experience with retrofit / refurbishment projects preferred
Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day electrical installation works
- Ensure compliance with H&S and project specifications
- Coordinate works to minimise disruption in a live environment
- Conduct site briefings, toolbox talks, and progress reporting
- Liaise with main contractor, clients, and other trades
Certifications (preferred but not always essential)
- ECS / JIB Gold Card
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- First Aid at Work
