We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to join a commercial construction project on a freelance basis. Projects may include fit-out, shell & core, office blocks, retail centres, or mixed-use developments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all electrical activities on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all electrical works on site, including electricians and subcontractors
- Interpret and manage drawings, specifications, and electrical designs
- Ensure installations comply with current regulations, standards, and project requirements
- Carry out regular site inspections and quality control checks
- Coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Manager, and other trade supervisors
- Enforce health & safety procedures, ensuring RAMS, PPE, and safe systems of work are in place
- Review and manage testing, inspection, and commissioning documentation
- Monitor progress against programme, identify risks or delays, and escalate where necessary
- Assist with snagging, defect resolution, and final handover documentation
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily/weekly reports, timesheets, and material usage
Requirements
- Minimum 3 yearsβ experience in an Electrical Supervisor or Site Manager role
- Proven experience delivering commercial or industrial electrical projects
- Valid ECS Gold Card
- SSSTS (or SMSTS preferred)
- Strong knowledge of electrical regulations and site management processes
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
