We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver a major earthworks and ground engineering project in the Norwich area. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, has strong site management capability, and can confidently steer complex civils packages from planning through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day management of earthworks operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams, subcontractors, and client representatives.
  • Maintain strict compliance with CDM regulations, H&S protocols, quality standards, and environmental requirements.
  • Produce and manage project documentation including RAMS, progress reports, and programme updates.
  • Manage cost control, schedule tracking, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Lead site meetings and provide clear communication across all project stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing earthworks or heavy civils projects.
  • Strong understanding of excavation, cut & fill, ground stabilisation, haul routes, and associated temporary works.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and multiple work fronts effectively.
  • SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), First Aid desirable.
  • Strong reporting and programme management capabilities.
