We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Project Engineer to support delivery on a live HV substation project as part of ongoing UK transmission upgrades. This is a site-based role working with a Tier 1 contractor, supporting works from installation through to commissioning and handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support delivery of HV substation projects (AIS/GIS) from installation to commissioning
- Coordinate between design teams, site teams, and commissioning engineers
- Manage subcontractors and ensure works are delivered to programme
- Review technical drawings and ensure compliance with specifications
- Assist with energisation and project handover
Requirements:
- Experience working on HV substation projects (132kV+)
- Previous role as Electrical Project Engineer or Senior Engineer
- Experience with Tier 1 contractors, National Grid, or DNO frameworks
- Strong understanding of site-based delivery and project coordination
Desirable:
- Familiarity with National Grid standards
- Experience on live substation environments
