Due to continued growth, they are looking for a skilled Mechanical Contracts Manager to join their team and oversee a range of exciting and challenging projects.
Role Overview:
As a Mechanical Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing mechanical contracts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard. This role will be predominantly office-based in London, but will involve frequent site visits to manage progress and liaise with contractors and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the full lifecycle of mechanical contracts from pre-construction through to completion.

Work closely with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure effective project delivery.

Coordinate project resources, budgets, and timelines to meet the specified targets.

Conduct site visits to monitor the progress of works and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Assist in the preparation of estimates and tenders using an estimation package (MS Project or Asta Powerproject).

Manage and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.

Provide technical guidance and support to the project team as needed.

Prepare and submit progress reports, ensuring clients are kept up to date.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager within the commercial sector.

Strong knowledge and understanding of mechanical engineering contracts and project delivery.

Experience using estimation software (MS Project or Asta Powerproject).

Solid understanding of project management practices, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.

Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.

A relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (e.g., HNC, HND, Degree).

Full UK driving license, as the role involves site visits.
Desirable:

Experience working on projects in the range of £100K to £5M.

Knowledge of building services and mechanical systems in commercial environments.

Membership in a relevant professional organization (e.g., CIBSE, IMECHE).
