We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a long-term construction project in Luton, with an immediate start available. The successful candidate will have a strong background in RC Frame construction, ideally having worked for a specialist RC Frame or construction subcontractor. You will be responsible for overseeing the project from the early stages through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager looking for long-term work with a well-established contractor, with further opportunities available for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities:
- Taking overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project
- Managing the day-to-day construction activities and site operations
- Planning, programming and coordinating works to ensure the project remains on programme
- Managing and coordinating subcontractors, site teams and suppliers
- Liaising closely with the client, consultants, engineers and wider project team
- Monitoring progress against programme and addressing any delays or issues
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and construction information
- Managing project documentation, progress reports and site records
- Monitoring quality and ensuring works are completed to the required standards
- Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety requirements
- Attending meetings with the client and project team
- Assisting with commercial and contractual matters where required
- Identifying and resolving issues efficiently to keep the project moving
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Project Manager within the construction industry
- Strong RC Frame experience is essential
- Previous experience working for a subcontractor is required
- Solid understanding of RC Frame construction, sequencing and project delivery
- Strong knowledge of construction programmes and project management processes
- Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively under pressure
- Relevant construction qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid would be advantageous
