My client are a specialist civil engineering contractor who are currently seeking a Site Manager to help deliver a tunnelling and shafts project in Loughborough, with an immediate start available.
This is a 6-month contract, so previous experience managing underground civils is essential.
Site Manager Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day site operations
- Supervising subcontractors and site teams
- Managing tunnelling and shaft construction works
- Toolbox talks
- Client and stakeholder liaison
- Health and safety compliance
- Managing RAMS, permits and temporary works
- Coordinating labour, plant and materials
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification
- Monitoring quality and maintaining site records
- Reporting progress to the Project Manager
Site Manager Requirements
- Black or Gold CSCS
- SMSTS
- Strong tunnelling and shaft experience is essential
- Previous experience managing underground civils projects
- Strong civil engineering background
- Experience with deep excavations and temporary works
- Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
- Good understanding of RAMS and health and safety requirements
- Full UK driving licence
