A main contractor is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in London. This Quantity Surveyor role is permanent, office based, and works across live projects in the capital. The Quantity Surveyor will report into the senior commercial team and take day to day ownership of cost on their allocated projects.
- Managing costs from procurement through to final account
- Preparing and agreeing valuations, variations and applications for payment
- Subcontract procurement, packages and payment certificates
- Producing cost reports and forecasts for internal review
- Working alongside site teams to keep commercial and delivery aligned
- Administering contracts under NEC and JCT
What the Quantity Surveyor will need:
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor
- Working knowledge of NEC and JCT forms of contract, and confidence administering them
- A civil engineering background or experience on groundworks packages is desirable
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, or equivalent site based experience
- Strong Excel and cost reporting skills
- Right to work in the UK
