We are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to join a commercial project in London, starting in the next few weeks. The successful candidate will have a strong background on commercial projects, with the ability to manage mechanical installation works and coordinate subcontractors effectively on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate mechanical installation works on site.
- Supervise mechanical subcontractors and site operatives.
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
- Coordinate mechanical works with electrical, construction and other trades.
- Liaise with the Project Manager, engineers, subcontractors and client representatives.
- Monitor progress and provide regular updates to the project team.
- Review drawings, specifications and technical information.
- Ensure RAMS, permits and site procedures are followed.
- Assist with inspections, testing, commissioning and snagging.
- Identify and resolve site issues and coordinate solutions with the wider project team.
- Maintain high standards of health & safety and housekeeping.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager on commercial projects.
- Valid SMSTS certificate – essential.
- Valid CSCS card – essential.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical building services, including HVAC, pipework and associated systems.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Good understanding of health & safety and site management procedures.
- Experience managing mechanical subcontractors and site teams.
- Commercial project experience is essential.
