We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead and manage commissioning activities on a long-term project in Reading. The role will involve overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of commissioning for M&E systems, ensuring all systems are delivered safely, compliantly, and in line with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the commissioning process for all M&E systems
- Develop and manage commissioning plans, programmes, and procedures
- Coordinate commissioning activities with construction, design, and client teams
- Manage commissioning engineers, specialists, and subcontractors
- Ensure systems are tested, validated, and commissioned in line with specifications and standards
- Identify and resolve commissioning issues, defects, and interface risks
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and security requirements
- Manage witnessing, sign-off, and client acceptance processes
- Oversee documentation, O&M manuals, test results, and handover packages
- Support final handover and project close-out activities
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Commissioning Manager on large-scale or complex projects
- Strong background in M&E systems commissioning
- Excellent planning, coordination, and leadership skills
- Strong understanding of commissioning procedures, testing protocols, and standards
- In-depth knowledge of health & safety and construction regulations
- Valid CSCS Card
- Ability to obtain SC Security Clearance
- Sole British National (mandatory for clearance)
