Our client is a well-established and growing organisation within the commercial construction sector, and we are currently supporting them with the recruitment of an Assistant Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer looking to develop their technical experience and build a long-term career within a supportive and progressive business. The Role As an Assistant Engineer, you will work closely with experienced engineers and other members of the technical team, supporting a range of engineering activities and projects. Your responsibilities will include: * Supporting engineers with day-to-day technical and project activities. * Assisting with the design, development and implementation of engineering solutions. * Carrying out inspections, testing, maintenance and fault-finding where required. * Producing and maintaining technical documentation and reports. * Assisting with project planning and monitoring progress. * Working with internal teams, contractors and suppliers. * Identifying technical issues and supporting the team in developing effective solutions. * Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with company and industry standards. About You The successful candidate will ideally have: * A relevant engineering qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent experience. * A genuine interest in developing a career within engineering. * Good technical and problem-solving skills. * Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach. * Good communication and organisational skills. * The ability to work effectively as part of a team. * A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
