The Role

As Freelance Logistics Manager, you will take full responsibility for site logistics operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and coordinated movement of materials, plant, and labour throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the site logistics strategy and logistics management plans
  • Coordinate all site deliveries, materials handling, plant movements, and waste management
  • Manage site access, traffic management, and logistics zones
  • Liaise closely with project management teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and local authorities
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety, environmental, and project-specific requirements
  • Lead logistics teams and manage external logistics providers
  • Proactively resolve sequencing and site constraint challenges

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Logistics Manager on large-scale or high-value construction projects
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and complex site logistics
  • SMSTS and CSCS (Manager level) essential
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously in a freelance environment
