My client is a leading civil engineering contractor currently seeking an experienced Marine Project Manager to support the delivery of a major marine infrastructure project in Suffolk. This is an excellent opportunity to join Sizewell C and be involved in marine piling, heavy civils, structural steelwork and precast concrete construction. Accommodation will be covered by the client!
Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage allocated sections of work from mobilisation through to final handover.
- Develop and maintain project programmes, resource plans and construction sequences.
- Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors to achieve project milestones.
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with specifications, programme requirements and contractual obligations.
- Manage subcontractor performance, productivity, quality and safety.
- Monitor project costs and support commercial reporting, forecasting and budget control.
- Raise and manage Early Warnings and Compensation Events under NEC contracts.
- Review and implement RAMS, quality plans and inspection procedures.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
- Produce regular progress reports and provide updates on risks, opportunities and project performance.
- Support project close-out activities including as-built records and handover documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement, efficiency and best practice across the project.
Project Manager Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within civil engineering, infrastructure or marine construction.
- Previous experience delivering marine works is essential.
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts, ideally NEC4 Option C.
- Experience managing subcontractors and multi-disciplinary site teams.
- Strong planning and programme management capabilities.
- Commercial awareness with experience in cost control, forecasting and reporting.
- Good understanding of construction health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Civil Engineering qualification or equivalent experience preferred.
- SMSTS and CSCS Card desirable.
