We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to oversee mechanical installation works on a major commercial construction project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site activities, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring health & safety compliance, and delivering works to programme and quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team working on high-profile commercial developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise all mechanical installation works on site
  • Coordinate labour, subcontractors, materials, and equipment
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
  • Conduct site inspections and quality checks
  • Attend and lead coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and other trades
  • Monitor project progress and report to the Project Manager
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures
  • Review drawings, technical specifications, and RAMS
  • Resolve site issues efficiently and maintain programme targets
  • Support commissioning and handover activities

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager on commercial projects
  • Strong background in HVAC, pipework, plant room, and mechanical building services installations
  • SMSTS qualification
  • CSCS Card
  • First Aid certification preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
