We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Engineer to join a major marine / reinforced concrete structures project.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of a high-profile marine infrastructure scheme, working within a technically challenging construction environment.

As Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical engineering leadership across the project, ensuring construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required technical and quality standards.

You will work closely with the Project Manager, Site Management, subcontractors and design teams to ensure works are delivered in line with programme, specifications and client requirements.

  • Senior Engineer Responsibilities
  • Leading and overseeing all site engineering activities across marine and reinforced concrete structures works.
  • Managing the day-to-day engineering delivery of the project, ensuring works are completed safely, accurately and to programme.
  • Setting out and surveying reinforced concrete structures, marine structures, foundations and associated civil engineering works.
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documentation, identifying and resolving engineering issues as they arise.
  • Coordinating construction activities with site management, subcontractors and engineering teams to ensure works are delivered in accordance with the design.
  • Producing and reviewing QA documentation, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), inspection records and handover documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate site records, as-built information, surveys and engineering documentation.
  • Monitoring progress against programme, identifying technical risks and implementing appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Mentoring and supporting Site Engineers, Graduate Engineers and junior members of the engineering team.
  • Senior Engineer Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Senior Engineer or Site Engineer on major civil engineering, marine or reinforced concrete structures projects.
  • Previous experience delivering marine infrastructure, reinforced concrete structures, ports, harbours, coastal works or major civil engineering schemes is highly desirable.
  • Strong technical knowledge of reinforced concrete, foundations, marine structures, formwork, reinforcement and associated civil engineering works.
  • Experience with setting out, surveying and managing complex engineering activities on major construction projects.
  • Excellent understanding of construction methodology, quality assurance and health & safety requirements.
  • Competent using Leica, Trimble or similar surveying equipment.
  • Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid CSCS Card (essential)
  • Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
