About the role

We are seeking an experienced M&E Site Manager to join our team on a landmark high rise residential development. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a complex multi storey residential project, overseeing all Mechanical and Electrical installations from first fix through to commissioning and handover.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing M&E works on large scale residential, mixed use, or high rise developments and will be confident coordinating multiple subcontractors while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and programme delivery.

M&E Site Manager Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all Mechanical & Electrical works on site, ensuring delivery in line with programme requirements.
  • Coordinate M&E subcontractors and specialist suppliers across multiple work fronts.
  • Monitor installation quality and ensure compliance with project specifications, building regulations, and client requirements.
  • Chair and attend coordination meetings with the project team, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Review drawings, technical submissions, RFIs, and design changes.
  • Ensure M&E activities are fully integrated with the construction programme.
  • Drive progress and identify potential delays, implementing mitigation measures where required.
  • Oversee testing, commissioning, witnessing, snagging, and final handover activities.
  • Maintain site records, progress reports, and quality documentation.
  • Promote and enforce a strong health and safety culture across all M&E activities.

M&E Site Manager Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience as an M&E Site Manager on high rise residential projects.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services systems.
  • Experience managing installations within multi storey residential developments.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of commissioning, testing, and handover processes.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and stakeholders.
  • SMSTS certification.
  • CSCS Manager Card.
  • First Aid at Work qualification (preferred).
  • Relevant trade background or building services qualification desirable.
