Type: Long-term contract We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a well-established subcontractor on a major development in Guildford.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the delivery of RC Frame and Groundworks packages, ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.

The ideal candidate will come from a subcontractor background and have strong experience managing RC Frame and/or Groundworks projects.

An engineering background would be highly beneficial, although this is not essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the day-to-day delivery of RC Frame and Groundworks packages.
  • Taking overall responsibility for programme, progress and delivery.
  • Managing site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Coordinating engineering and technical requirements.
  • Monitoring project progress against programme and key milestones.
  • Ensuring works are delivered to the required quality and specification.
  • Maintaining strong health & safety standards across the project.
  • Liaising with the client, consultants and other project stakeholders.
  • Managing project paperwork, reporting and commercial requirements.
  • Identifying and resolving issues to keep the project on track. Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within construction.
  • Strong RC Frame and Groundworks experience.
  • Subcontractor background is essential.
  • Engineering experience/background is highly beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of construction programmes and project delivery.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Strong organisational and management abilities.
  • Relevant construction qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS and relevant NVQs.
