We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a leading groundwork and civil engineering contractor delivering a major long-term package in Gloucester. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual with strong groundworks, drainage, infrastructure and external works experience to take ownership of a large-scale project with a well-established and growing contractor.
Responsibilities:
- Managing day-to-day site operations
- Overseeing subcontractors and direct labour
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification
- Coordinating drainage, foundations, roads, utilities and external works packages
- Maintaining high health & safety standards across site
- Liaising with clients, engineers and senior management
- Managing site paperwork, RAMS and progress reporting
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within groundworks/civils
- Strong knowledge of drainage, infrastructure and reinforced concrete works
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid essential
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage fast-paced projects and drive programme delivery
