We are recruiting for an experienced and highly organised Logistics Supervisor to join one of Scotland’s most prestigious and high-profile construction developments based in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected main contractor on a landmark project, offering long-term stability, a fast-paced site environment, and the chance to play a key role in the successful delivery of a major scheme.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination of all site logistics activities, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of labour, materials, plant, and deliveries across a busy live construction environment. Working closely with site management, subcontractors, suppliers, and logistics teams, you will help maintain programme efficiency, site safety, and operational control throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee daily site logistics operations across multiple work areas
- Coordinate deliveries, material distribution, and storage areas
- Manage site access, traffic routes, and vehicle movements
- Supervise logistics operatives, gate staff, and traffic marshals
- Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Monitor housekeeping, waste management, and welfare areas
- Maintain delivery schedules, records, and logistics documentation
- Identify and resolve logistical issues to avoid programme delays
- Ensure all activities comply with site health & safety standards
To be considered, you will ideally have:
- Proven experience as a Logistics Supervisor on major construction projects
- Strong understanding of site logistics and operational planning
- Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and deliveries
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Strong knowledge of construction health & safety requirements
- Valid SMSTS or SSSTS
- Valid CSCS Supervisor Card (preferred)
- Traffic Marshal / Vehicle Banksman certification
- First Aid at Work
- CPCS / NPORS (relevant categories)
- Experience on city-centre or complex live projects
- Immediate start available
