My client is an established and growing groundworks and civil engineering contractor currently seeking an experienced Foreman to join their team on a permanent basis and cover their sites in Fife. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and motivated individual looking for ongoing work with an immediate start.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage groundworks and civil engineering operatives on site
- Oversee daily site activities to ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to programme
- Coordinate labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors as required
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and method statements
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, quality control, and site housekeeping
- Communicate effectively with site managers, engineers, and clients to resolve issues and maintain progress
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Foreman within groundworks and/or civil engineering
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Valid CSCS card
- SMSTS or SSSTS qualification preferred
- First Aid qualification desirable but not essential
- A proactive approach with a strong focus on safety and quality
