Site Engineer required for a major highways project in Fareham. We are actively recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering a large-scale highways infrastructure scheme. This is a long-term contract opportunity offering £400–£450 per shift with a minimum 12-month programme and an immediate start on 6th July.
The successful Site Engineer will play a key role in the delivery of highway construction works, managing setting out, quality assurance, subcontractor coordination and technical engineering support across multiple work fronts.
Site Engineer Responsibilities:- Setting out for highways and civil engineering works
- Managing engineering control and site surveys
- Producing and maintaining QA documentation
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical information
- Managing as-built records and site documentation
- Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered to programme
- Supporting Site Managers and Project Managers with technical engineering issues
- Ensuring works are delivered safely and in accordance with project requirements
- Proven experience working as a Site Engineer on highways projects
- Strong setting out experience using GPS and Total Station equipment
- Experience delivering major infrastructure or civil engineering schemes
- Good understanding of QA processes and ITPs
- CSCS Card essential
- HND, Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple work areas
