About the Company

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team, specialising in the installation, maintenance, and testing of EV (Electric Vehicle) charging systems. This role is crucial to the successful delivery of EV charging infrastructure on a range of commercial and public sector projects. You will be responsible for both the electrical and containment aspects of the installations, ensuring systems are safe, efficient, and compliant with industry standards.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission EV charging stations, including single and three-phase units.
  • Carry out containment work such as conduit, trunking, traywork, and ladder racks to support cable routes.
  • Pull and install power and data cables to EV charging equipment.
  • Perform testing, inspection, and fault-finding on EV charging systems in accordance with current regulations.
  • Interpret and work from electrical drawings, schematics, and site plans.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, site supervisors, and other trades to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Ensure all work is completed to 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and EV charging standards (e.g., IET Code of Practice for EV Charging Equipment Installation).
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance on-site.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Valid ECS Gold Card is essential.
  • Proven experience in EV charger installations (domestic or commercial).
  • Familiarity with electrical containment systems.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain relevant EV charging qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds 2921-31).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred for mobile roles).
