We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Engineer to join an established civil engineering contractor delivering a major marine civils project. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex marine and coastal infrastructure works, with accommodation (digs) provided for those working away from home.
The Role
- Reporting to the Site Agent and Project Management team, you will take a lead role in the engineering delivery of marine civils works on site, ensuring technical compliance, programme delivery, and high safety standards.
Senior Engineer Responsibilities
- Lead setting out and engineering control for marine civils works
- Oversee and coordinate site engineers and subcontractors
- Ensure works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and programme
- Manage temporary works coordination and implementation
- Review and produce method statements, risk assessments, and technical documentation
- Liaise with design, commercial, and construction teams
- Monitor quality, productivity, and progress on site
- Maintain accurate site records, as-built information, and reporting
Senior Engineer Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Engineer or Site Engineer on civil engineering projects
- Strong background in marine civils, marine infrastructure, or coastal works preferred
- Excellent understanding of setting out, QA, and engineering best practice
- Knowledge of temporary works and construction sequencing
- SMSTS (preferred) and valid CSCS card
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
