We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sub Agent to join a major highways scheme in Exeter. This is an excellent long-term opportunity, offering 12 months of work for an experienced Sub Agent with a strong background in highways and major civil engineering projects.
The Role
- Supporting the Site Agent with the day-to-day delivery of the highways works
- Managing and coordinating site activities, subcontractors and labour
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with the programme
- Monitoring progress, productivity and quality across the works
- Coordinating with Site Engineers, subcontractors and the wider project team
- Assisting with planning, sequencing and delivery of construction activities
- Ensuring works comply with project specifications, drawings and quality requirements
- Maintaining accurate site records and providing regular progress updates
- Supporting the Site Agent with the overall management and delivery of the package
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sub Agent or Senior Site Manager
- Strong background in highways and civil engineering
- Previous experience working on major highways or infrastructure schemes
- Good understanding of construction methodology, sequencing and programme delivery
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Relevant CSCS / SMSTS or equivalent qualifications
