We are recruiting for an experienced Construction Manager to join a major groundworks and civil engineering project in Wigan. This is an excellent opportunity to take a leading role on a large-scale scheme involving earthworks, drainage, RC works and civils works.
Working closely with the Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing site operations, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements. Candidates must have a strong background in groundworks and civil engineering projects, with RC experience beneficial but not essential.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage site operations across a large groundworks package.
- Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, plant and materials.
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
- Liaise with the Project Manager, engineers, clients and stakeholders.
- Drive productivity and maintain compliance with all health and safety requirements.
- Monitor progress and resolve site-related issues efficiently.
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager on major groundworks and civil engineering projects.
- Strong understanding of earthworks, drainage, civils.
