We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Supervisor to join our team on a major commercial construction project. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to oversee mechanical installation works, ensure high quality delivery, and support successful project completion within programme and budget requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all mechanical installation activities on site.
- Manage and monitor mechanical subcontractors and direct labour teams.
- Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation to plan and coordinate works.
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, clients, consultants, and other trades to maintain programme delivery.
- Monitor progress against project schedules and identify potential delays or issues.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company procedures.
- Assist with commissioning activities and project handover documentation.
- Attend site meetings and provide progress reports to senior management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor within commercial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, pipework, plumbing, and mechanical building services installations.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Good understanding of construction health and safety regulations.
- Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and trades on live construction sites.
- Relevant mechanical trade qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent.
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification preferred.
- CSCS card required.
