Project Manager – Groundworks & RC Frame

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a well-established civil engineering and groundworks contractor on a major Groundworks and Reinforced Concrete (RC) Frame project in Bristol.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a long-term, high-profile scheme with the potential to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of Groundworks and RC Frame packages, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of Groundworks and RC Frame operations.
  • Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives.
  • Monitor progress against programme and proactively manage delays.
  • Ensure health, safety, quality, and environmental standards are maintained.
  • Oversee resource planning and project reporting.
  • Attend client and site progress meetings.
  • Drive programme performance and ensure project milestones are achieved.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing Groundworks and RC Frame projects.
  • Engineering background preferred (Civil Engineering or similar).
  • Strong understanding of project programming and sequencing.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications preferred.
