We are recruiting an experienced Logistics Project Manager to join a commercial and retail park development in Bristol city centre. This is a freelance contract role with an immediate start for the right person.

You will own the day-to-day logistics operation on a constrained city-centre site, making sure labour, plant and materials move safely and efficiently without holding up the programme.

Day to day you will be:

  • Planning and coordinating all deliveries, delivery slots and site traffic management
  • Producing, reviewing and approving RAMS from subcontractors and checking they are site-specific
  • Delivering site inductions to operatives, visitors and subcontractors, and keeping records up to date
  • Enforcing the site health and safety policy through toolbox talks, safety walks and audits
  • Managing crane, hoist and lifting schedules alongside the site team
  • Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, neighbouring occupiers and the local authority on access and road closures
  • Resolving logistical issues before they become programme delays
  • Managing the logistics and gate team and keeping accurate records across the project

About You:

  • Previous experience as a Logistics Project Manager or Logistics Manager, ideally on commercial or retail schemes
  • Genuinely competent with RAMS paperwork and site inductions, not just familiar with them
  • SMSTS and CSCS essential; First Aid at Work and NEBOSH/IOSH advantageous
  • Comfortable working on a tight inner-city site with competing priorities
  • Organised, proactive and confident dealing with suppliers, subcontractors and site teams
