About the role
We’re seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to oversee electrical works on a high-profile commercial project. You’ll be responsible for managing all on-site electrical activities, ensuring installation quality, safety compliance, and timely delivery of works in line with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all electrical works on site, including directly employed electricians and subcontractors
- Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and designs to ensure accurate installation
- Plan, manage, and monitor progress to meet programme milestones
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain high standards of quality and compliance
- Work closely with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, and other trade leads to coordinate site activities
- Ensure Health & Safety standards are upheld at all times – review RAMS, ensure PPE compliance, and promote a safe working environment
- Oversee testing, inspection, and commissioning processes; review documentation and sign-offs
- Manage snagging, defect resolution, and handover documentation
- Maintain accurate daily and weekly site reports, labour records, and material usage logs
- Identify potential risks, delays, and technical issues, escalating where required
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Electrical Supervisor or Site Manager on commercial or industrial projects
- Proven track record managing electrical installation teams on large-scale sites
- Valid ECS Gold Card
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and site procedures
- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
