Freelance Plumber – High-Rise Residential Project
About the Role
We are recruiting experienced Freelance Plumbers to work on a large, high-rise residential development in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work on a flagship construction project with a well-established M&E contractor.
You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality plumbing installations while working alongside other trades to ensure the project is completed safely, efficiently and to programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out 1st and 2nd fix plumbing installations.
- Install hot and cold water services.
- Install soil, waste and rainwater pipework.
- Fit sanitaryware and associated plumbing fixtures.
- Read and work from drawings and site plans.
- Pressure test and commission plumbing systems where required.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Follow site health and safety procedures at all times.
- Liaise with supervisors and site management to ensure work is completed to schedule.
- Report any issues or material requirements promptly.
Essential Requirements
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Proven experience as a plumber on residential new-build or high-rise construction projects.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Own hand tools and PPE.
- Strong understanding of current plumbing installation methods.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Reliable, punctual and committed to producing high-quality work.
Desirable
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent).
- IPAF or PASMA certification.
- Experience working on multi-storey residential developments.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings.
