Site Manager – Groundworks & Civil Engineering

Established groundworks and civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee multiple groundwork and infrastructure projects across the South West, including Bristol, Bath and Bridgwater. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual with a strong background in residential groundworks, civils and infrastructure delivery to join a growing and well-respected contractor with a strong pipeline of work.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing day-to-day site operations across groundwork and civils projects
  • Managing subcontractors, labour and plant on site
  • Delivering works safely, on programme and within budget
  • Coordinating drainage, foundations, roadworks, externals, paving and infrastructure packages
  • Conducting site inspections, toolbox talks and H&S audits
  • Liaising with clients, engineers and senior management
  • Managing QA, RAMS and programme sequencing

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing groundworks and civil engineering projects
  • Strong knowledge of drainage, foundations, roads & sewers and externals
  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid essential
  • Temporary Works / Streetworks advantageous
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple packages and subcontractors
