A rare opportunity to join a growing, independent digital marketing agency as the lead on Business Development – joining in an important phase of commercial growth. This is a hands-on, outward-facing role, suited to someone who enjoys generating new partnerships, building relationships nationally, and playing a key role in shaping business strategy and pipeline.
This position would suit an experienced BD professional who is comfortable operating in a lean, fast-moving agency environment, where everyone plays a significant contribution and commercial impact is highly visible. Monday to Friday, full time based out of Norwich, with hybrid working and some national travel required. Salary: £35, – £45, DOE basic with a clear commission in place based on business brought on.

The Day to Day:
- Overseeing and driving new business activity on a national basis.
- Proactively prospecting, alongside managing incoming lead enquiries and re-engaging lapsed opportunities.
- Attending meetings, pitches and networking events across the UK.
- Managing the full sales lifecycle from initial prospect through pitch, negotiation and contract initiation.
- Building and maintaining a strong new business pipeline (average sales cycle approx. 3+ months).
- Working closely with the agency lead to develop target client lists and pitch strategies.
- Using tools to support outreach and prospecting.
- Leveraging platform and technology partnerships to generate new opportunities.
- Creating and presenting proposals and high-level strategic approaches.
- Supporting smooth handover of won business into delivery teams.
You Will Have/Be:
- Proven experience in a Business Development or New Business role.
- Comfortable operating in a small, agile environment where delivery is hands-on.
- Confident prospecting, pitching and building relationships at a senior level.
- Willing and able to travel nationally and be out meeting clients regularly.
- Commercially minded with a strong understanding of sales pipelines and deal value.
- Resilient, self-motivated and results-driven.
- Comfortable working closely with agency leadership.
- Marketing / Digital agency experience is beneficial but not essential - full training on the agency offering will be provided.
- Experience selling into eCommerce, D2C or businesses with established sales and enquiry funnels would be highly advantageous.
