The predicted salary is between 31500 - 38500 £ per year.

The role is hands-on, tasked with supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business and working alongside the existing accounts function.

As a key team member, you’ll be responsible for keeping the financial side of the business running smoothly – using your proven accounts experience to provide integral support within the finance and administration operations, showcasing your practical and proactive approach to work.

This opportunity is based a few miles outside of Great Yarmouth and due to the remote location, a driving license and vehicle is essential.

Salary is offered at £30,000 with the role being considered both full-time or part-time at a minimum of 30 hours per week.

  • The Day to Day
  • Recording and maintaining accurate financial transactions and records
  • Processing supplier invoices and making payments
  • Raising customer invoices and uploading invoices to relevant portals
  • Reconciling supplier statements and bank accounts
  • Monitoring aged debtors and highlighting outstanding payments
  • Maintaining and reviewing sales and purchase ledgers
  • Supporting payroll preparation, including expenses and relevant payroll data
  • Assisting with VAT returns and other financial reporting
  • Supporting the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial information
  • Providing financial information for management review
  • Identifying and highlighting discrepancies and helping to resolve them
  • Supporting internal and external audits and maintaining compliance with financial procedures
  • You Will Have / Be
  • Previous experience in a similar accounts-based role with understanding of accounting principles
  • Experience using accounting software such as Sage or Xero
  • Good understanding of sales and purchase ledgers
  • Experience with reconciliations and balancing accounts
  • Awareness of aged debtors and the importance of timely payment
  • A baseline understanding of P&L
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload
  • Happy to speak to customers and suppliers regarding accounts queries when required
  • A proactive, self-motivated and flexible approach

An accountancy qualification would be useful but isn't essential.

What matters most is that you understand the fundamentals of accounts and have the practical experience to get on with the job.
