RT Social Care is recruiting on behalf of a respected children's residential care provider for two Registered Children's Home Managers to lead two separate residential homes in Milton Keynes. These are excellent opportunities for experienced, passionate leaders who are committed to delivering exceptional care and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.

The Role

As a Registered Children's Home Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership, management, and performance of your own residential home. You will ensure the service delivers high-quality care while maintaining full compliance with Ofsted standards, safeguarding legislation, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day management of your children's residential home.
  • Ensure the home operates in line with Ofsted regulations and all relevant legislation.
  • Promote positive outcomes for children and young people, supporting their emotional, educational, and social development.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, education providers, and external professionals.
  • Recruit, supervise, support, and develop a high-performing staff team.
  • Oversee staffing, rotas, training, and performance management.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping, care planning, and regulatory reporting.
  • Maintain a positive culture that promotes safeguarding, equality, diversity, wellbeing, and continuous improvement.

Essential Requirements

  • QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or currently working towards).
  • Previous experience as a Registered Children's Home Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step into registration.
  • Minimum of two years' experience working within children's residential care.
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and children's residential legislation.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Ability to complete the Ofsted Registered Manager registration process.
