Residential Support Worker – Children's EBD Home Pay: £14.00–£15.00 per hour
We are seeking compassionate and resilient Residential Support Workers to join a Children's EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) Home, providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day care and emotional support to children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
- Promote positive behaviour, independence, and personal development while maintaining clear and consistent boundaries.
- Safeguard children and ensure their welfare is always the highest priority.
- Support the implementation of care plans, complete accurate records, reports, and daily documentation.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, social workers, and other professionals.
- Act as a Key Worker, delivering regular key work sessions and contributing to reviews and care planning.
- Participate in household duties, activities, training, and team meetings to maintain a safe and welcoming home.
- Respond appropriately to challenging behaviour, including using approved physical intervention techniques where necessary.
Requirements
- Experience working with children and young people, ideally within a residential or EBD setting.
- Strong communication, resilience, and a caring approach.
- Ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins.
- Commitment to safeguarding, teamwork, and promoting positive outcomes for young people
