RT Recruitment is proud to be working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in the heart of Manchester. They are looking to bring on board a motivated and career-driven Trainee Accountant to join their team and grow within the business. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or someone early in their finance career who is looking for real responsibility, structured development, and long-term career progression.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assisting with bookkeeping and maintaining financial records
- Supporting the preparation of accounts, VAT returns, and tax submissions
- Helping with bank reconciliations and balance sheet reviews
- Working closely with senior accountants on client projects
- Using cloud-based accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, etc.)
- Liaising with clients and building your understanding of business finance
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related subject (or AAT-qualified)
- Strong interest in building a long-term accounting career
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Confident communicator and team player
- Some relevant experience (internships, part-time work) is helpful but not essential
