As our finance team expands, we are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Role Overview
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with reporting. You will work closely with the finance team, gaining exposure to various accounting functions while developing your skills in bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing invoices, payments, and expenses accurately and on time
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and maintaining financial records
- Supporting the preparation of financial reports and management accounts
- Helping with VAT returns and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
- Managing purchase and sales ledgers, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve financial queries
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities

Who We Are Looking For
- A degree or qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts-related role is an advantage but not essential
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) is a plus
