Our consultants are deployed into large-scale programmes and projects to bring expert knowledge, drive sustainable and long-term change, and add value to every engagement.
About the Role We are looking for an experienced Asset Management Programme Manager to support a key asset transformation programme within our defence secure portfolio estate in Plymouth .
This role is critical in modernising and optimising critical infrastructure, ensuring efficient asset management in line with best practices.
Location : Plymouth, with on-site working required x2/3 days per week on site.
Clearance: Active SC Clearance requiredContract Type: Permanent/Contract Salary/Rate: £300
– £500 per day
– DOE You will work closely with estate management teams, programme governance stakeholders, and external partners, ensuring that asset management strategies align with the Institute of Asset Management (IAM) ‘Anatomy’ model and broader objectives.
Key Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of asset management strategies, ensuring alignment with IAM best practices.
Provide programme management and governance oversight, ensuring successful delivery of asset transformation initiatives.
Engage with key stakeholders, including estate management teams, and external suppliers, to drive programme success.
Assess existing asset portfolios and provide recommendations for optimisation and lifecycle management.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and operational requirements within a Defence infrastructure environment.
Oversee risk management, reporting, and performance tracking for asset management programmes.
Support the procurement and supplier management process, ensuring alignment with our defence clients policies and commercial frameworks.
Key Skills & Experience Required Strong Asset Management expertise, ideally with exposure to the IAM ‘Anatomy’ model.
Proven experience in Programme Management and Governance, with a track record of delivering complex infrastructure or estate projects.
Background in Defence, Infrastructure, or Public Sector Asset Management is highly desirable.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, particularly in a Defence or Government environment.
Understanding of defence/government estate management processes and compliance frameworks.
Familiarity with task order processes and contract management in a Defence setting.
Security Clearance: Must hold an active SC clearance.
Flexibility to work on-site in Plymouth as required by the programme.
Desirable Qualifications IAM Certificate or Diploma in Asset Management.
PRINCE2, MSP (Managing Successful Programmes), or equivalent Programme Management certification.
APM or Chartered status in a relevant field.
