We are looking for a reliable General Labourer to join our growing team working on highways and infrastructure projects across the UK. The successful candidate will be involved in the installation of access steps, security fencing, temporary fencing, and permanent fencing on a variety of highways and construction sites. This is a hands-on role that requires previous construction experience, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the installation of temporary and permanent fencing
- Installing access steps and associated site infrastructure
- Loading, unloading and moving materials safely around site
- Using hand and power tools as required
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment
- Following site-specific health and safety procedures
- Supporting site teams to ensure projects are completed on schedule
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working as a General Labourer within construction, highways, fencing or civil environments
- Valid CSCS Green Labourer Card
- Full UK driving licence
- Good understanding of health and safety on construction sites
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Willingness to travel and work on various project sites when required
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team
Desirable
- Experience installing fencing, barriers or access systems
- Highways or civil engineering experience
- Additional site certifications such as Highways Passport, NRSWA, CPCS or IPAF
